Haircut & Colouring
- When having your hair coloured, to keep the colour lasting longer use a shampoo for coloured treated hair
When blow drying your hair, use a heat protection spray/serum, to save it from damaging and don’t use the hottest setting on your hairdryer/straightners
Chlorine can cause a lot of damage to coloured hair. So, avoid swimming for a few weeks after you colour your hair or make sure you wash your hair a good few times before you go swimming. If you must, make sure you use a swimming cap and condition your hair before entering the pool.
Take care of the ends. The healthier your hair, the longer the colour will last, so make sure you take a trip to the salon every six weeks for a regular trim.
Use a conditioning treatment. Coloured hair tends to be drier than usual, so you need to use a deep conditioning treatment as part of your hair care routine at least once a week. Apply to hair that has been dampened with warm water, and wrap in a towel for half an hour to give it time to be absorbed leave (the longer you leave the conditioner on for then the better it will be for your hair). Then shampoo out the excess and you should find your hair shine restored and it will feel a lot healthier.
